Motocross Track Etiquette

  • Entering/Exiting:
When entering or exiting the track, always use the designated areas. Avoid riding off the track randomly, as it can pose a safety hazard to yourself and others. Maintain a consistent path and avoid sudden veering.
  • Holding Your Line:
Try to maintain a consistent riding pattern, especially if you’re new to riding a track. This allows other riders to predict your movements and reduces the risk of collisions. Choose a lane and stick to it, avoiding erratic movements across the track.
  • No Cross Jumping:
Avoid crossing your trajectory in mid-air. Be predictable in your jumps, as unexpected movements can lead to collisions, especially during landings when visibility of other riders may be limited.
  • Ride Within Your Abilities:
Ride at a pace that matches your skill level and comfort zone. Don’t feel pressured to match the speed of more experienced riders. Focus on improving your skills gradually rather than trying to keep up with others.

Pit Etiquette

  • Slow Down:
While it’s tempting to speed around in the pits, slow down to ensure everyone’s safety. Keep in mind that the pit area is not a race track.
  • Avoid Horseplay:
Resist the urge to engage in playful or risky behavior in the pits or parking lot. Save your practice for the track and maintain a responsible attitude while in the pit area.
