Construction Update: Energy Solutions Aquatic Center & Peak View Park

Exciting progress is happening at The Peak Sports & Entertainment Complex as multiple crews work to bring new and improved amenities to Tooele County. With construction in full force, we want to provide an update on two key projects: the Energy Solutions Aquatic Center and Peak View Park.

Energy Solutions Aquatic Center: A Complete Rebuild for Long-Term Stability

The Energy Solutions Aquatic Center is undergoing a total rebuild to address significant structural issues discovered during renovations. The original foundation was compromised due to soil instability, requiring crews to dig deeper and reinforce the ground before rebuilding the structure. Extensive geotechnical surveying and testing have been conducted to ensure the pool remains secure and stable.

Current Progress:

✔️ Footings for the zero-entry leisure pool have been poured.
✔️ The lazy river has been staked out and marked.
✔️ Main trunk lines run from the leisure pool’s surge tank.
✔️ The lap pool’s surge tank is formed and scheduled to be poured this week.
✔️ Custom Myrtha Pool components, imported from Italy, are now on-site and being prepared for installation.

Due to the complexity of this project and the precision required for custom-built components, the pool is expected to be completed in October 2025. However, as an outdoor facility, it will not open to the public until Spring/Summer 2026, when weather conditions allow. The county is committed to delivering a high-quality, long-lasting aquatic facility that will serve the community for decades.

Peak View Park: A New Community Playground & Pavilion

In addition to the aquatic center, work is progressing on Peak View Park, a recreational area designed to provide families with a fun and welcoming space to gather and play.

Current Progress:

✔️ Seat walls for the playground are being formed and poured daily.
✔️ The playground installer is preparing to begin equipment installation as soon as concrete work is complete.
✔️ Utility lines have been run to the bathroom/pavilion, and footings have been poured.
✔️ Irrigation lines are being located and prepped for new sprinkler installation.

Both projects are moving forward with multiple crews working simultaneously to ensure the highest quality and safety standards.

Commitment to the Community

We understand the excitement and anticipation for these new amenities, and we appreciate the community’s patience as we work through the challenges of a large-scale construction project. The Tooele County Parks & Recreation team is dedicated to ensuring these projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

We will continue to provide updates as construction progresses. Stay tuned for more details and upcoming milestones as we bring these exciting new features to life at The Peak!
