Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are now in place, including all Tooele County canyons and campgrounds. These restrictions are critical to protecting our lands, visitors, and wildlife.

What’s Not Allowed Under Stage 2 Fire Restrictions:

  • No campfires or open flames, including charcoal or pellet grills.

  • Gas stoves OK if they have a shut-off valve and are used in a clear area at least 3 feet wide.

  • No smoking, unless inside a vehicle, building, developed site, or on a paved/vegetation-free area.

  • No fireworks or exploding targets.

  • No cutting, welding, or grinding metal near dry vegetation.

  • No motorcycles, ATVs, chainsaws, or similar engines without a spark arrestor.

Beautiful Settlement Canyon has been part of Tooele County tradition since the pioneers came to this valley. The RV campsite used to be home to the annual rodeo and festival. The beautiful mountain views include picnic tables, camping sites, a playground, and a pavilion.

Designed for a quick getaway, the canyon has various hiking trails. It is also home to Settlement Canyon’s reservoir, which is great for a relaxing day of fishing.
